Cookie Policy
Effective Oct 8, 2026 · Version 2026-10-08--01
This policy explains the cookies and browser storage Squaaads Design Services Inc., doing business as Jam (“Jam”, “we”, “us”) uses on Spell’s public pages and in the app. It complements our Privacy Policy. The list below is the same one the cookie dialog shows, so the two always match.
1. What this covers
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser; local storage is a similar store that stays until it is cleared. Everything listed here is set by Spell itself on its own address. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
2. What we use, and why
Strictly necessary · Always active
Needed for the site and the app to work: remembering your privacy choices, keeping you signed in, protecting sign-in and connection steps, and remembering small layout choices you make inside Spell. They cannot be switched off here; blocking them in your browser stops those things working.
| Name | Type | Provider | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
spell_cookie_preferences | Cookie and local storage | Spell | 180 days | Remembers the cookie choices you make on this site. |
sb-<project>-auth-token | Cookie | Spell (Supabase Auth) | Until you sign out; refreshed while you are signed in | Keeps you signed in and protects your session. Set only when you sign in. |
spell-next | Cookie | Spell | 10 minutes | Returns you to the page you were going to after you sign in with Google. |
spell_slack_state | Cookie | Spell | 10 minutes | Protects the step that connects your Slack account to Spell. |
spell_view_as | Cookie | Spell | 1 hour | Lets an administrator see Spell as another person sees it. Ends on its own. |
sidebar_state | Cookie | Spell | 7 days | Remembers whether you left the app’s sidebar open. Set only inside the app. |
spell_admin_people_collapsed | Cookie | Spell | 1 year | Remembers which sections an administrator folded on the People page. |
App preferences | Local storage | Spell | Until you clear it | Remembers small choices inside the app, such as your light or dark theme and the last project you picked. |
Performance · Optional, off until you switch it on
Measures how quickly our public pages load, so we can keep them fast. Off unless you switch it on. It sets no cookies and does not follow you to other sites.
| Name | Type | Provider | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Vercel Speed Insights | No storage | Vercel, for Spell | Nothing stored in your browser | Records loading-speed measurements (Core Web Vitals) with the page address and your browser and device type. |
3. Your choices
On your first visit to our public pages you can accept or reject the optional setting, or choose in Cookie settings. Nothing optional runs before you choose, and rejecting it never stops you using the site. Change your mind at any time:
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones stops sign-in and some features from working.
4. Inside a studio’s instance
A studio’s Spell instance uses the strictly necessary items above. Measurement inside the app, if any, is part of the studio’s agreement with us and is covered by its own notices to its team and clients.
5. Other sites
Links from Spell to other sites — such as Calendly for walkthrough bookings, or services a studio connects — are governed by those sites’ own cookie policies.
6. Changes and contact
When we add or change a cookie we update this page, and if it is optional we ask again before using it. Questions: hello@letsjam.design.
